About This Project
Why this project was developed
Most IP lookup sites disagree with each other, because each one reads from its own database. This project exists to give a straight answer to one question: is this connection going through a VPN, proxy or Tor, or is it a direct consumer line?
How does the website get its IP information
Every lookup runs on the server, so your address is resolved from the request itself rather than from anything the browser reports. Location, network, ASN and proxy or hosting classification come from ip-api.com, and Tor exit nodes are matched against the Tor Project's published exit list.
What is not stored
There is no database behind this site. Results exist only in the page you are looking at, and the address and map stay blurred until you choose to reveal them.
